Bio

Jeff Phillips enters his 13th year in the coaching profession, bringing a proven record of program development, player growth, and competitive success at the high school level. Known as a culture builder and leader of young men, Coach Phillips emphasizes accountability, discipline, and sustained excellence both on and off the field. Phillips began his coaching career in 2013 at Austin-East High School in Tennessee, where he spent seven seasons helping establish one of the region’s most consistent football programs. During his tenure, Austin-East earned five playoff appearances, including multiple semifinal runs, while building a foundation rooted in toughness, discipline, and team unity. After relocating to Georgia, Phillips spent a semester at Wheeler High School, gaining valuable experience within Georgia’s highly competitive football landscape. He was later named Head Football Coach at North Springs High School, where he continued to grow as a program leader and culture architect. In 2023, Phillips was named Head Football Coach at Campbell High School. Under his leadership, the Spartans have experienced a resurgence, highlighted by back-to-back winning seasons and a playoff appearance—marking a significant step forward for the program. His teams are known for playing fast, physical, and disciplined football, with a strong emphasis on player development and personal responsibility. Coach Phillips currently holds a career head coaching record of 73–58, including a 13–6 playoff record. A former student-athlete, Phillips is a graduate of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he competed in football and track and field. He earned his Master’s degree from Carson-Newman University and completed his Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree at University of West Alabama. Jeff is married to Dr. Quenisha Phillips, and together they are the proud parents of four children: Kayson, Sebastian (9), Teagan (5), and Bellamy (3). He is the son of Jeff Phillips and Trevonda Blair, with Leonard Blair as his stepfather, and one of six siblings, including his sister Bianca Belair, an internationally recognized WWE Superstar. Coach Phillips is deeply committed to mentoring young men, building family-centered programs, and using football as a platform to teach life lessons that extend far beyond the field. Campbell Football History Campbell High School has recorded 18 playoff appearances dating back to 1952. Since the merger of Willis and Campbell High Schools, the program has earned 8 playoff appearances and 1 region championship, underscoring the importance of continued growth and long-term vision for Spartan Football.
